Before we get into agents or LangGraph, every enterprise team needs to get a solid grasp on the basic building blocks. Stateless API calls are fine for simple queries, but most enterprise apps need context: the conversation history, previous tickets, past orders, or earlier steps in a multi-turn workflow.

LangChain's memory systems let you:
